Doug Quackenbush Memorial Coach of the Year Award is presented annually to the top coaches at the provincial level. These individuals are considered elite managers of talent and/or developers of talent with their teams. Quackenbush was president of Football Nova Scotia during the 1980’s, a prominent high school football coach at Dalhousie, Queen Elizabeth and Dartmouth High Schools and one of the first master course conductors for Football Canada:

USPORTS Athlete of the Year Award is presented to a top Nova Scotia football player within Inter-University Sports playing in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year. The nominee must be a Nova Scotian and must be maintaining passing levels in academic studies.

High School Player of the Year Award is presented to one of the top Nova Scotia high school football players who is a member of a provincial team. The nominee must be a student of Nova Scotia high school and a member of the high school football team. The nominee must be maintaining passing levels in academic studies.

Official of The Year – Flag is presented annually to Football Nova Scotia’s premier flag official. Thisindividual demonstrates a dedication to leadership, their contribution to local sport development, and is seen as an advocate for fair play and ethical behaviour in the sport. This years’ recipient has displayed all these attributes.
Matthew Velocci
Volunteer of the Year is presented annually to Football Nova Scotia’s premier volunteer. Over the past year this individual has dedicated more of their time to the advancement of the sport of football within the province.
