WHAT IS THE FOOTBALL CANADA CUP?
St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) in Antigonish will host the 2025 Under-18 Football Canada Cup from July 12 to 20, bringing together the top young football talent from across the country. This premier national championship features eight provincial teams—Nova Scotia (the host), Ontario (the defending champions), Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Manitoba, and British Columbia—battling for gold.
As Football Canada’s marquee tournament, the U18 Canada Cup serves as a critical platform for player development and USports recruitment. It gives athletes a unique opportunity to represent their provinces, test their skills against the nation’s best, and showcase their abilities to scouts and coaches. The event also plays an important role in preparing players for higher levels of competition, including potential selection for national team programs.
WHAT IS THE Eastern Challenge?

This high-level, tournament-style event features four provincial teams—Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and host Nova Scotia—battling for the Eastern Championship. As a key developmental milestone, the Eastern Challenge introduces athletes to elite competition and provides an opportunity to represent their province, showcase their talents, and test themselves against top players from neighboring regions.
