Nova Scotia Teams enjoyed arguable their most successful football weekend on the gridiron ever. In Montreal the Under 15 Team Nova Scotia played 2 games versus Equipe Metro Scolaire from Montreal defeating them 34-0 and then 21-6. They followed these performances with victories in Ottawa over the Cantebury Mustangs, Kanata Knights and Orleans Bengals.
Meanwhile also in Montreal the Under 17 Team Nova Scotia footballers defeated the Richelieu Pirates 21-0 on Thursday night and the Northshore Mustangs 8-1 on Sunday night.
However, the biggest success of all was saved for the Under 18 Provincial Team. Playing infront of 1000+ boisterous fans at Raymond Field in Wolfville at the Football Canada Cup National Championships, Team NS came from behind in the final minutes of the game to defeat Team Alberta 27-24. The win guarentees Team NS the opportunity to play for a medal on Saturday. Next up for Team NS is Team Quebec, Wednesday July 14th at 7pm at Raymond Field.
